Selling Your Car
Many of us have experienced the frustration of trying to sell a car using
newspaper ads or other means resulting in missed appointments, time wasters,
those focused on test drives with your classic, and late night callers. This
in addition to having to negotiate terms, arrange for delivery, meet at your
home or business, and dealing with motor vehicle department issues.
Classic Cars Ltd. has expertise with the entire sales process and assumes
responsibility for the sale of your vehicle from start to finish. We utilize
proven sales and marketing strategies to sell your special interest, high
performance or classic car.
The first step involves a professional evaluation of your car to establish its
current market value. Utilizing a variety of sources including recent similar
sales, classic car auction results, expert publications and our experience, we
establish an agreed upon asking price for your car. While we provide our
expertise, ultimately you determine the actual asking price.
Once we establish the asking price we begin to actively market your car. Your
car is detailed (if necessary) and placed in our climate controlled showroom for
viewing. Our marketing efforts include: listing the vehicle on the Classic
Cars Ltd.Website, advertising in the appropriate local or national publications,
exposure to US and international classic car buyers, contact with prospective
buyers contained in the Classic Cars Ltd data base, and trade publication
advertising.
We maintain regular contact with vehicle owners to provide general updates
regarding interest in their vehicles. Classic Cars Ltd. makes all
appointments, meets with prospective buyers and handles test drives (all test
drives are with qualified buyers and Classic Cars Ltd's owner). Any serious
offer on the car is presented immediately for consideration by the owner.
Classic Cars Ltd. handles all negotiations and dealings with the prospective
buyer.
When an offer is made and accepted by the vehicle owner, Classic Cars Ltd.
prepares all of the necessary paperwork including Motor Vehicle documents,
license and registration, and releases to protect the sellers interests.
Based on the original agreed sale amount, sale proceeds are distributed to
the vehicle owner. Payment is made within 48 hours of the conclusion of the
sale.
Classic Cars Ltd. has sold over 90% of the vehicles held on a consignment basis
using the approach outlined above.
Please provide us with the following information so we can assist you with the
